Sleep apnea or snorings

Snoring and sleep apnea may be caused by the lower jaw falling back during sleep and obstructing the airway. A simple device to hold the jaw forward may help along with other therapies to open the airway.

Canker sores or fever blisters

These lesions a real aggravation and a difficult to successfully treat. They are caused by the Herpes Simplex virus and may be treated with medications.

Bruxism (tooth grinding)

Grinding your teeth especially at night can wear down or chip your teeth. This may be caused by misaligned teeth or simply be stress and tension. The teeth may need to be adjusted to distribute the forces of biting or you could need therapy for the stress and to help you be aware of your bite. In some cases a bite protector over the teeth may be needed.
