Daniel Schopp, DDS
Originally from New Orleans, Dr. Schopp was an Army dependant and has been around the world twice
before graduating from high school. He attended four different high schools in three different
countries. Dr. Schopp attended Louisiana State University, Southern College and The University of
Southern Mississippi. He graduated from Emory University School of Dentistry in 1970. After serving
two years in the US Army, Dr Schopp opened his practice in Decatur, Georgia in 1973.
Dr. Schopp is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Northern
District Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and the American Academy of Cosmetic
Dentistry. He has extensive continuing study in orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry and implants.
He has lived in Dunwoody for twenty-five years. Dr. Schopp has two adult children living in the
Atlanta area. His hobbies are flying airplanes and gliders, scuba diving, and travel. The travel
is often combing with mission dental work in the Caribbean and Pacific islands. Dr. Schopp is active
in his church and often participates in charitable activities, such as his recent dental mission to Honduras
